Picho García (he/him) is a Chilean filmmaker and producer. Sundance Institute and Chicken & Egg Films Fellow. He founded Grieta Cine, a production company based between Valparaíso, Chile, and Barcelona, Spain. In 2024, his hybrid short film Familia, also co-directed with Gabriela Pena, premiered at the True/False Film Festival and screened at Camden IFF and DC/DOX, among others. In Chile, it received multiple jury and audience awards, including Best Short Film at SANFIC. In 2021, he produced Gabriela Pena's documentary feature, Zoila, which premiered at SANFIC and received First Prize at FIDBA (Argentina) in the Gender and Generations Competition. He is currently focused on developing Ibero-American co-productions.
